Enter "ecosystems" in the keyword search box. This site is sponsored by the University of Wisconsin System, and has several ecosystem related links, but I would recommend two. The second is "What's it Like Where You Live?", which discusses and illustrates the different bioms and the plants and animals that live there. Includes links for each biom.

This site is basically a pitch for a book written by Charles F. Barker called "The Day the Great Lakes Drained Away". (Sorry, no underline feature). It's an interesting interview with the author, but what I really like is the navigation bar down the side. Its loaded with links about the Great Lakes as a whole and individually.
